How a diamond blades cut

Diamond blades do not actually cut, instead they grind. The blade segments contain diamond crystals embedded in the segments. Diamond blades are referred to having a specific "bond". The bond of a diamond blade is the hardness or softness of the powder metal that is used to hold the diamonds in place. The most important part of choosing a diamond blade is matching up the right bond with your material you plan on cutting.
